We begin by visiting your garden for a brainstorming session, where we explore conceptual ideas using mood boards that highlight hard landscaping features and plant styles. At this stage, we’ll discuss the costs of the garden build, and we’ll work together to establish a clearer budget. A brief 15-minute phone conversation may be necessary before the visit.
Once we agree on solid conceptual ideas and ballpark pricing, we will conduct a thorough site survey. This includes reviewing existing features, vegetation, soil conditions, garden orientation, sunlight, land elevations, and exact measurements. We will also consider other important factors to ensure the design fits your space. After the survey, we’ll create a first draft of the conceptual design.
If appropriate, we’ll present a final master design, including detailed 2D or 3D images and videos, allowing you to visualize the final look of your garden. These visuals are invaluable for showing how the garden will evolve over time, how sunlight interacts with the space, and how the design will look at different times of the day. It also helps visualize changes like patio extensions or material swaps. The realistic portrayal of plants growing and maturing provides peace of mind, ensuring you are confident in your design decisions before moving forward with such a significant investment.
Based on the approved design, we’ll present an investment proposal for the garden build. If needed, adjustments can be made to better align with your ideas and preferences. Once the proposal is accepted, we’ll provide a detailed schedule of works, and the garden build will begin.
Our 2D/3D design plans typically range from £500 to £5000, depending on the size and complexity of your garden.
